$649 every 6 months with Geico full coverage. State Farm was going to increase my rate to $777 every 6 months.

Most of you probably have another vehicle.....

Ask your insurance company to rate any points/accidents against the crappiest vehicle on the policy then put the lowest limits and highest deductibles you can get on the crappy vehicle. I have all my tickets/points on my 99 ranger with liability only. This keeps insurance costs on the EVO down. Tell your insurance company the car is driven less than 10k miles per year. This to will lower cost.

Also if you have a roomate (with a clean record) you can insure with the same company and get a multicar discount because you live at the same address.

I have American Family and they are very flexible in assigning points and providing discounts. They also wont drop you for tickets. I've never had an accident so I dont know about those.

I think mine is like $114 a mo with state farm. I'm almost 30(may 29th) so that will make mine go down some more, plus i'm married that cut it almost in half... living in NJ is awful for insurance ours was most costly in the country last comparison I read.

Before being married it was about $230 a month with a pretty clean record, no accidents, and all points already forgiven. My evo is like $7 more a month than it was for my 99 328i.
