Okay guys... I'm looking for a nice snowboard rack. Anyone know some go deals. How about a sleek look? If someone has a ski/snowboard rack please take picture... Thanks, CHRIS

You know the Owner Manuel says no roof racks on MR or RS models due to the Aluminum roof right?

Better not go into a dealership with the rack or they might oid your warr.

Mine holds 4-5 boards, 4-5 pairs of boots and 2 backpacks full of gear, couple that with the space in the trunk and I can get 5 people to the mountains for the weekend, no problem

I've got an extra yakima lift ticket six (the ski/snowboard part of the rack), unusued. When I bought it from Yakima I originally thought you needed 2 (one for front one for back), but 2 come in each package so I ended up with 4. Yes, I do suffer from a mild form of mental retardation.

I was lazy and didn't return it and now its been months. I dunno if they'll still take it back.

PM If interested.

It's only on when I go to the mountains, it takes about 10 min to take the entire box and rack completly off.

My setup was $750.00. The rack itself is about $250, then you can choose either a box (mine is a larger model), or just the regular board holders. You can also add bike racks in the summer. just go to thule and do a search for the lancer. the roof on the evo is the same as the regular lancer, it uses the same exact parts.

I'd imagine it should be pretty easy to go into a store that sells racks and have them fit you with a system. But I'm a cheap shopper and I'd like to be able to buy it online and put it together myself... if I only knew which parts I need. I did a configuarator on Yakima's site.. it gave me the 48" crossbar. Is that the right size for our car?

Here's a Thule rack on my car. You can go to www.thule.com and select the Lancer 4dr for the correct parts. If you have a MR or RS, the Thule kit won't fit since the MR or RS does not have the OEM roof rack mounting points: http://www.socalevo.net/gallery/disp...e.php?pos=-140
