spare tire road trip fun!
spare tire road trip fun!
so i'm on my way back from LA to the bay area on highway 5 and i get a flat, my right rear tire which has had a nail in it from 3k miles (it was too close to the side wall to patch) has popped (@ 12k) so i put on the spare (which is a pain on account of the sub in my trunk) and i have to rant that the jack is hard as hell to use because of its placement on the pinch welds makes cranking it a pain. so anyways i put on the spare and basically had to use it for what was probably about 200 miles before i was able to get home so i'm wondering if this may have damaged the acd at all. Also i'm not sure what tires to get now i'm looking between the Advan Neova AD07, the Toyo RA-1, and the BFG KD's.
I'm looking for mostly good dry traction because it doesn't rain that much and summer is coming up soon so i'm hoping to do some auto/rally cross but overall i'm looking for a good street tire any thoughts, i know the AD07's don't come in the stock size so if i go with those which size should i go with?
bonus question is 700$ a good price for a greddy ti catback it almost perfect condition (just a lil dirty)?

whoa. maybe its just the angle of the picture but those tires look like they were pretty bald on the side to begin with.
and just in case you're interested i have 4 stock advans with only 4k on 'em (with no autocrossing, drag racing or launching) i'd be willing to let go of.

thanks for the advice and imput so 235/40/17 is the magic number?
also if its the case that the tires were bald on the side to begin with does this mean i have too much negative camber?
