Anyone Else Read This WRC News

I just read some info that Mitsubishi along with Citroen, Peugeot, and Skoda have pulled out of the 2006 season of FIA WRC. Which leaves only Ford and Subaru to only battle it out for factory supported teams. I guess there are a few reasons for the withdrawal, but I read that one was due to the way FIA ran the series, and the Factory involvement is very unhappy with the organization. Did anyone else read up on this? Or could post a link that has more info?

sorry if it's a repost

Competition costs are getting rediculous also. That is another big reason.

Citroen and Mitsu will be back next year. Don't know about Skoda, but you may see some other manufacturers join in too. I hate that the FIA is keeping Speed Channel from broadcasting this year.

it's true (sigh), however there are still to Evo 8's from private teams, and plenty of other cars. But I agree, it's a shame WRC has gotten so obscure. It's almost impossible to even find event coverage anymore.

The best way to get eurosport coverage of the WRC on your PC is to download the videos via Torrents. Just do a google search.

FIA has killed WRC, just like they are doing their damnedest to kill F-1. At this rate NASCAR will pwn all, and it will be time to get off this rock. The only hope would be DTM, which is never broadcast here in the US, and Australian V8, which is usually on at 3am or so...
