Stock IX MR Questions

Ive got two questions, just got a IX MR and cant seem to find too much usefull info in the manual.

Question 1: What temperature is the middle gauge reading? It seems to always read the outdoor temperature (but that would seem rediculous if thats really what it is). What should the volt gauge be reading, and why is it useful?

Question 2: When varying the ACD from tarmac to gravel to snow, what is the diff doing. Is there a thread or another site that explains whats going on when each setting is engaged? (I understand what a diff is so you dont need toexplain that, but im looking for what the differences are between the settings)

If thers another post answering these question, let me know! Thanks in Advance!

1) That's in celsius, dude, so it's nowhere close to outdoor temperature! It's oil temperature. This is easily found with a basic search. The voltage should be 13-14. It's not incredibly useful, but it helps you see if your battery or alternator is struggling.

2) This has been discussed in great detail along with links to the full technical document that explains it. Please search before creating new threads. You're not the first MR owner to come here.

the middle gauge is the oil temp gauge... it's reading in celcius... and the acd is switching to different driving conditions like weather wise n stuff... and just to let you know... searching is the best tool in here...
