Finally the long awaited time has come, the Evo is finally in my hands!! I was absoulutely thrilled! On 90 degree street turns, usually i would be scared to do a turn at 50mph in my old integra....with this car i had no problem doing so. Everyone was right, the gripping on the tires are like a dream. The headlights are definitely amazing, it took me awhile to stop playing with the lightbeam leveler. It has great pulls especially at 4000rpm in second gear, and right at 4th gear. Even my fixed-up-WRX friend was amazed.
Now, for all those people who lived in the bay area, if you are looking for a silver evo, they have 2 at my dealership. This dealership was on the boycott list for selling $15,000 over, but now the highest is $3-$5k. Notice i said highest. I used advice from couple fellow evolutionm.net members to haggle with them using Fresno, Selma as msrp references. They had defense against that since they know cars over there won't come in until at least may. Then i also used Concord mitsu (who has a low markup) and they know Concord has cars coming in a week or so. I have been in-n-out of that dealership for the recent weeks, the whole staff there knows me. They are actually really nice people, and easy to work with once they know you are serious. Talk with them, i'm sure you could get one of the best deals around S.F.T hey had 3 silver Evos, 1 had moonroof, one had all the accessories and moonroof, and the other one just plain stock (which i got).
If anyone interested in buying over there, please tell me!. Use my name as a referral.. I'll get $200 from it, I will gladly split 50-50 with the buyer. Yes, this dealership was the one i originally saw the first Evo in real life, the same dealership i went back angrily (because of markup) and regularly the most. It's VERACOM in San Mateo. I know almost no dealership around here (S.F. area) has silver (if there is one). So anyone interested in pickin' it up, pm me.... i'm sure an extra $100 bucks wouldn't hurt.
I friend has a silver wrx as well as my cousin... so if you see an unusual pair of Wrx and Evo together, that would be me.
My hearts been pounding so fast ever since i decided to get the car today, in fact my heart its still racing fast. Guess i won't be sleeping tonight, even if i do it would be in my Evo! Glad to join the club. ...
