good stuff, cheap, effective. Helped me get full boost under 3k rpm. 25psi at 2800rpm is quite torquey! (3rd gear pull) Titanium impeller helps though!

 

No way would Jet Hot charge $120 to coat an O2 housing. More like $35-75 for Jet Hot.

Read that in some cases it causes boost creep, for that reason alone, I am staying away from it.

 

Are you sure you ported the Ebay o2? Mine was almost paper-thin on the walls and the openings were gaping-wide. What in the world would you port on that thing?

Here's the difference between the stock ported o2 and unported Ebay o2. Even after significant porting, the stocker is not as wide-open as the Ebay o2:



Here's a close-up of the Ebay o2. There's no material on the inside of the walls, and if you port the openings, they would be larger than the gasket openings, at least on the one I received.

 

where did u order you o2 housing from warrtalon?

 

I got it from Buschur Racing. They are selling these units pre-coated for you and have them on the shelf. You order it, and they send it right to you as long as they have them in stock.

 

I got it once and installed it. I regret getting it and installing it. Its not worth the trouble unless you are pulling out the turbo for upgrades. My o2 housing was giving me bad readings on my front o2 sensor. PO134 code all the time. I thought it was the 02 sensor but it was not. I put the stocker back on and the code went away. Besides all that, it does not have the stock bolt area that holds the 02 housing onto the motor. This could result in a broken header or other peice of the exhaust. I would not do it again.

I've read some posts about the boost creep also and that has me worried. I looked at the passage where the exhaust from the wastegate joins the collector area and looks small. I opened it up with a die grinder in hopes of promoting better exhaust flow from the wastegate. I have no idea if this will help, but it can't hurt. As for getting trouble codes from the O2, that's a new one on me and I hope it doesn't happen .
