Ok. I hate to do it but its another crashed Evo thread. I was with my cousin, taking him out for a first ride in the Evo. We stopped at a stoplight behind some old lady in a cadillac. I figured I would be cool and show my cousin how awesome the launch on the Evo is. To make a long story short, the light turns green and I give the lady in front of me about five seconds to get out of my way. I launch the car at about 6000rpm and we take off. I guess I misjudged the distance and the power a litlle bit and we plow into the lady in front of me at about 45 mph. Her Caddy is fu**ed and my Evo is pretty bad off as well. I haven't gotten pictures yet, but the engine is pushed back about 4 inches from where it should be.

Oh well, I was thinking about getting a IX anyway. Now that I've had some good driving experience with the VIII I think I'm ready for the IX. That is if mine is totalled.

lol. last time i rear ended someone, even minor, i totally rethought my entire history driving and was super cautious for like 3 months. I definitely wasnt proud of my experiences!

Yea... my insurance broker called me recently saying they're going to re-evaluate the Evo's rating on their "risk" scale.....

 

Wait so you crashed your VIII and think you have enough experience? Might wanna go down to an OZ....let alone an IX

why the hell would u launch a car with a car in front of u period? whether u gave her 5 or 10 secs, it shouldnt be. the more the evos crashing, the lesser chance of me getting an evo because of the insurance rate.
