Question EVO II climate controls?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/JDM-M...spagenameZWDVW

I know this idea of a climate control conversion has been said to be impossible in a few other threads... What is the real show stopper with such a conversion on an EVO?

The parts included in the link above includes most of what seems to be needed, sorry if this seems stupid, but I would love to know the actual issues that would be faced really trying to convert the EVO to any of the auto climate controls available from other cars.

I had it on my '97 Galant. The screen went out on it and my cost new from Mitsu for the control unit was $900. I ended up finding one after calling several junkyards, and got it for $150. It did look very similar to that unit. That's only the beginning. The entire setup works on vacuum and air pressure and not mechanical levers and pulleys like in our cars. You'd have to go in and change just about everything beind the dash. It just isn't worth it, nor is just having the control unit enough. Especially if it is from an older car to begin with. IF someone provided a complete kit like that from a CT9A, I think the cost would be substantially higher and still might not work.

I might look into finding a manual system that includes a digital temp reading that will fit in a single din from some other car. Something that will look a bit better and work with the factory cables and such... Mine controls are broken so...
