oil filter block adapter vs. block tap
what is everybody's thought on these two types of installs for oil pressure and oil temp installs? I have searched and some people don't like the block adapter because lowers your oil filter about an inch and a half closer to the ground but is easier to install. others say that you can just tap the block but nobody seems to know the thread patern and size for sure many different answers are posted. thanks in advance

I used both gallies in the block for the oil pressure/temp gauges. If you do go with the adapter make sure you buy the smaller mitsu filter. The last thing you need is to snap off the filter on something in the road.

This is by far the most easy way, very simple. And it uses ports that are already located on the oil block.

here ya go. found this in the "how to section." the adaptors and size are posted on this person's site. might be a pita but saves you peace of mind of not having your filter closer to the ground.

Screw the Block Adapter...I had that on my Evo and a pothole ripped the filter off. Also damaged was the filter housing assembly. So after a nice insurance claim and 3 days of waiting for the part to show up and installed, I now am using the pressure sensor adapter from 42 Draft Designs. All you need to install is a hex key (don't remember exact size), some thread tape or sealant, and an adjustable wrench to install it.
