Anyone see the new Car & Driver?
They have like 11-12 sport sedans they tested. Broken down into 3 groups. First group had a amg,m5,audirs6,jag.s type r.
The second had the m3,amgcl,audis4. The 3rd had protege,svt,sentra,the SRT-4.
Where the hell is the evo8 at?????
I know that it dosnt really fit into either bunch , but it would have been nice if they added it anyways.
1st bunch was like $80k......2nd was like $50k 3rd was $20k.
If you havnt got the issue yet, GET IT. I wont tell you who they gave it to but the ........, well I cant even say who took second place.
The numbers for the amg are just incredible. Got TQ.? at like 1850rpm!!!!
Anyways when I seen the cover I was like they have to have the evo8 in this test somewhere. After ripping through to the middle of the mag...... NO Evo8!
Anyways I cant wait to see how it does when it finally gets tested out like this months car & driver did with these other cars.

That's a big jump from the 2nd group to 3rd group. I think the WRX and Evo fit between those two groups nicely (based on price and the fact that the 3rd group is all FWD). The Evo and WRX are in a class of their own anyway.

There is a press embargo on the STi until May 1st so we will most likely see a comparison between these two cars in the next issue.
My guess is they were waiting until after this embargo so they could test both cars together and compare them.

What would they compare the Evo against? The only $30k sedans are.....Maxima, G35, A4, fully loaded altima, accord, camry.
Other $30k cars = S2000 (2 seats), 350Z (2 seats), mustang cobra (slightly higher than $30k), RX8 (the only somewhat comparable car to the Evolution)
