I'm installing my Evo 7 tail lights...theres this plastic harness that plugs the all the actual bulbs in the tail light (on the original Evo 8 tail lights) into the car itself...for some reason i can't get it to come off...i don't want to pull too hard n break something.

It's located at the center of the back of the tail light...anyone kno what I'm talkin about?

i think you have to give it a solid pull, it is difficult. But make sure you pull by the socket and not the wires. Also make sure after you are pulling it out not to pull to far and rip the wires up. Gonna take some elbow greese but take your time.

 

Yea nvm i just got it...took me a while to figure it out...that's the hardest part of the install...otherwise the lights are only held down by two screws (on the side, visible when you pop the trunk.) Looks AWESOME on black evo 8!

 

So those Evo VII taillights are a direct fit?..... Humm not bad

Where in TX are you. If you are in Houston, I will come right over and take some pics. I am thinking about doing the swap myself and would like to see it in person. I already have a trade lined up if I go that route.

 

RIGHT ON That VII taillight swap is a mod I think alot more of us here are itching to see on the Tarmac!!
