After almost 2 years of waiting, I finally got the RS yesturday :)

Hello everyone. I would just like to say that I have been on these forums for a decent amount of time now preparing for my EVO. It took awhile for my WRX to sell, but it finally did. Two weeks later (yesturday), I went and picked up my red 06 IX RS. I could not be happier!! I got it for $27,500 plus tax (which is an OK deal) from Max Madsen Mitsubishi in Aurora, IL. GREAT PEOPLE. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM. The drive home was awesome. I could not be happier. The only thing I am upset about is that I grinded the gears once going into second gear because the gearing is different than the WRX . Hopefully that didnt affect anything...There is just something about that RS that is amazing. The way it just sits there and purrs is so satisfying. I couldnt tell you how many times I went to the garage yesturday and today just to open the door and see it in there. I had the biggest smile everytime . I just cant wait until that 600 mile mark so I can open her up and see what she can do. Then comes the real fun: the quest for 400whp on that stock IX turbo.

P.S. - 2 quick questions: Should the RS have a functioning clock and light above the back seat? Both are not working. Do I have to activate them somehow? Thanks!

I learned the hard way and broke it in medium, and got medium power.

Congrats bro
I don't think you should have to turn anything on to make the clock and lighting work.
I like the RS cause there is no wing, doesn't look to ricey

Now by breaking in hard you mean boosting a lot and getting on it a little but staying under 5k rpms or beating on it like a mad man regardless?

Should I bring it up to 5k hard like WOT, or just slowly through the band??
