Okay so the only opening I know of in the engine bay to bring wiring into the cabin is the little hole on the left side of the firewall (behind the glovebox).


Now here's what I need to run wires for, from the engine bay into the cabin.

- 2 thick wires for electronic damper controller (one from each strut)
- 3 sensor wires (boost, oil temp, and oil pressure, and eventually down the road EGT)


So now all those wires together are a pretty thick bunch, I don't think there's enough room to bring all these wires into the cabin, through that little hole.


So what can I do?

Are there any other holes in the firewall that aren't a b*tch to work with, and can be accessed somewhat easily without any drilling or w/e?

Where is a good location to drill a hole?

I didn't drill a single hole. I ran them through the driver side fender, and then into the cab through the rubber boot next to the clutch pedal. I like it because it's clean, and you can't see the wires anywhere.

I "enlargened", (is that a word?), the hole you mention on both of the EVOs. It is very simple, and you can pick up a grommet from your local hardware store in just about any size you need. There are plenty of other locations on the firewall to make additional passages. Just be mindful of what is on the other side. lay it out to best suit your needs, and drill away.

OT: Since you are the only person I know that had both wicked white and weightless white. What is the difference between the two? Is one more yellower than the other? thx

I drilled a hole with a unibit (aka stepper bit) right between the brake and clutch pedal. Just dont drill too high and poke your brake booster . If you drill it low enough you can cover it with the carpeting on the floor and run it up which ever side you want.

If you cant run them all through the fender this is the best bet. Just enlarge that hole on the firewall behind your shock tower that leadis in behind the glovebox.

it would be very difficult to get a drill back there

I'm going to try and run it through the fenders i think.


By removing a wheel and the fender liner, i can then run the wires from behind the fender liner, correct?

When I ran my power wire through the fender I didn't have to remove the fender liner or wheel... I suppose that could make things easier. I did the old coat hanger plus tape on the wire trick to guide the wire through. Then with the driver door open you can see the wires start to come through and grab ahold of them.
