Do you wish you had the MR?

As a few other people in these forums, im very much considering an evo. Which one to get is a very tough decision. I like the GSR+SSL but I also like the MR. I can't/don't want to wait till august for the SE. So heres the question:

Any of you guys wish you had gotten the MR instead? Regrets?

It doesn't matter what people say in answer to this question. What matters is if you care more about lightweight forged rims/bilstein shocks/6spd tranny/zero lift kit/gauge package or the sunroof/leather/sub. The price difference is just under 2k, so which do you prefer?

I prefer the lesser weight, rims that were nearly 3lbs lighter each, superior shocks, aluminum roof, and the extra gear.

I can also see how some prefer the nice leather seats, the appealing sunroof, and the better sound system. Then, there's always the base GSR that is lighter than both and much less expensive followed by the lightest RS that is pretty cheap. All depends on YOUR preference, not ours.

i will argee with Warr on this one, i myself didnt want the ssl so i got a base gsr and i couldnt be anymore happier with it. i dont think for the extra gear and bilstein suspension was really worth the extra 5 grand at the time when i bought mine plus the RS isnt exactly good for florida weather. correct me if im wrong but the rs is completely stripped down including no A/C and down here in fl you need A/C the choice is your my friend choose wisely.

i would stick with the base model if i were you but if you had to choose between the ssl and mr models i would definitely pick the mr if you're going for 06 models. the stock seats are much better than the leather imo and you get everything else like warr mentioned without a much greater increase in cost. however if you're getting 05 models i would get ssl, due mostly for looks and luxury, leather, sunroof, and hids (over base).. i really dislike the stock cloth seats. but if you do go for the 05 mr then you have more exclusivity.

well yes, I agree is personal preference. And these are only your opinions, but I want to hear them. It's either the 06 MR or SSL for me. its a hard decision. I really want it for autocrossing and maybe track days. I just thought the ssl gave it that extra lux touch being that its a factory souped up econo car.

I am happy I have the opportunity to own an evo, I worked my *** to get here, from collecting cans to help my parents with money, to being an engineer (almost!).

I do not wish for the MR. For me the SSL was the only choice.

Isn't all the SE come with aluminum roofs. If is and you are planning to do some suspension and rim changes just get the regular SE.
