i'm looking to get a MBC for my IX mr. anyone know how much boost i can run. and will it give me much of a gain without a tune?

Get one From Buschur, I got one of theres, and it was GREAT!!!

 

The 2 most popular are the Hallman pro and Forge UNOS. Your boost will depend on the octane of gas your running. 91=21-22psi 93=21-23psi..... You really should get tuned whenever you start to mod.

I'm running a dejon tool MBC at 21psi on 91 Cali gas on my IX. Dramatically helped with boost taper. I will get tuned once someone comes out with a stinkin ECU extension harness.

 

Skiracer, why not just get a $199 mail-in flash until such a time arrives? I think you'll be able to use EcuFlash before there is a patch harness for an SAFC. You wouldn't want to use an SAFC on a IX w/MIVEC anyway.

 

Don't get the Forge Unos unless you want to be messing with it . That's based on my own experiance and several others on this board. I may end up getting rid of mine and going with the hallman in cab adjustable.
