I bet! <grin>

As you have a MR with a stock boost gauge, have you found it to be accurate compared to the aftermarket gauge in your package? Too, would the dealer be able to bring the boost up to spec, if it's indeed too low? Perhaps I should start a thread about this.

My stock gauge was and is pretty accurate relative to the times I've been tuned with a MAP sensor for logging boost - they were close. That doesn't mean everyone's is accurate...

No, the dealer has no way to change your boost. Not all IXs are created equal, so it's luck of the draw. The good thing is with these mods, it brings you back to a level playing field.

Thank you again for your time.

One last question please. Would a Dynoflash tune bring the boost up to spec (assuming my gauge is accurate), or would it just eliminate the taper? The car would have no other mods.

I have alot of respect for Burschur's black car, but that statement isn't exactly truthful. their 9 second car doesn't even use their exhaust. It dumps out of the side of the front bumper, but I'm sure you knew that

I don't have any experience with their exhaust, but I had an expensive slip fit exhaust on my Audi before I sold it (Milltek sport) and over time it developed exhaust leaks. I hope for the people that bought them that Burschur's isn't like this, as I have not really looked into the exhaust since I found out that it was slip fit

It would put your boost around 21psi and eliminate some of the stock taper. It would probably be the compromise between what the IX is fully capable of and what you are comfortable with. It would give you wonderful power gains with just the flash alone.

Absolutely correct about Buschur's exhaust- http://www.motor-elite.com/stievo/IMG_7221.jpg

Whether their race car runs their exhaust or not was not in question nor relevant. The point is it's all Buschur built and with mostly Buschur parts. Their parts by no means "don't cut it."

In addition, having a custom tune and a tuner local to you certainly has its advantages. One of those advantages being personal hands on attention, and often getting a break on further tuning as you continue to add upgrades.

guys, this is getting out of control and it really is getting old. there is no reason why a thread like this should turn into a vendor bash. if i get one more reported post about this thread, every comment i delete will also come with a nice ban.

Not exactly truthful? I was actually referring to Dynoflash's 9-second EVO which had the BR 3" exhaust on it.... Like I said... "a 9 second car...." Im well aware BR's black car has no exhaust on it... I saw the vid a while ago of it at the track.

Next time try reading a little more carefully. Stop trying to look for errors or else you end up making them... like you just did. I never said Buschurs 9 second car uses their exhaust.
