Anyone have Tein Hood dampers ?

Trying to find a set that works on our car... by works, i mean verified that it works, please no speculation. I've seen a person or two on here with them but they havent responded to me thru PM yet. Would like to see pictures if possible and if you have the model # you bought and/or for which car it was originally made for would be helpful... thanks guys

thanks.. but i asked about the tein... nice pic though... reason being, a buddy of mine is getting a CF hood and the tein's mount to the hood bracket, not the hood which wont tear up the carbon fiber or maybe cause it to flex in the middle.... i love your pic and as i am not going with c/f, i may get the redline ones...

could you post a pic from the side and something closer ? i'd like to see where they mount and how far back the mount... looks good

Jason, the Redline company shows pretty detailed pics of how their rods are installed.

yes i seen them... but i was concerned about your hood... it would cause less stress raising them at the bracket i would think then in the middle of the hood should they raise uneven at some point, stress lower then higher i would think would be safer and not crack it at the base.. for me the redlines will work great because im not changing my hood.

Yea I hear ya. I subscribed to the Tein Damper thread...don't want to pay 200 for AMS Tuning's polished pieces....we'll see what happens, my hood won't be here for another week or two, then I have to have it painted.
