hi im new to evom forums and think this place s great the amount of help i have got has been really good i am part of the mitsucolt forum but i thought you guys might be able to help as well and id really apprecaite any opions of what to do next i

this is copied from a tread on the mitsu colt forum i wrote

right as some of you are aware im in the process of turbo ing the colt and have bought the kit form danny promtote (under car parts ad section on here)

at this moment im gonna talk about the turbo manifold i have been sent depending on danny promtes action on this i may have to go more n depth about the rest of the kit

when i bought the kit it took a month for it to be shipped because danny was supposdly making a custom turbo manifold , 2 weeks later i got email from stating that he had up graded it to a lancer manifold my guess s for some reson he didnt do and thought ill just throw a manifold from a 4g63 when i got the manifold i quickly checked it and the stud pattern look fine and it apperead identical to my standrad manifold now this weekend after spending the the last 2 months gathering loads of differnt parts (intercooler oil cooler spare pistons spare head loads of alluminum pipes etc) i went to bolt the tubo up to the car to find that the manifold deosnt fit GRRRRRRR although the studs are the same the manifold is an inch wider so the ports dont line up meaning the bolts dont . now this manifold is made out of think cast iron there is no bending or welding . now i have been emailing and i have been demading compensation really as im now going to have build a new one , he turned round and told me in these words to remove the bracket from cj manifold and connect to the evo one HUH WHAT IS THAT SUPPOSED TO MEAN its impossible to cut the head of my cj manifold and cut the one from the evo beacuse the evo is made OF THICK CAST IRON ITS COMEPLETY UNDOABLE AND PLUS I WOULD HAVE TO BEND THE PORTS INWARDS ON THE EVO MANIFOLD WHICH IS IMPOSSBLE AS EVEN IF I COULD GET SOMTHING THAT WOULD HAVE ENOUGH STRENGTH THE IRON WOULD CRACK NOT BEND not like steel my only gues is that he want me to cut the end of my cj manifold off and insert into the end of the evo manifold which he thinks i canT BEACUSE THE MANIFOLD IS AN INCH WIDER MEANING IT WONT INSERT

i was wondering what you guys would do this in situation am i reight in demanding compensation for this HE HAS SOLD ME SOMTHNG That doesnt fit and feel extremly cheated ... i mean waht can i do he is in malaysia
i feel cheated out of my manifold i dont know waht to do any ideas

Since the seller is halfway around the world, you do not really have any options. Did you pay for the parts with a credit card? You might be able to get your money back by filing a dispute with your credit card issuer if that's the case.

If you were both in the US, your recourse would be taking the seller to small claims court. (We LOVE suing one another over here!)

 

any other opions please guys as i need to as many opions as i can get so i can show the seller i am not being ignorant and selfish and that other people would feel the same
any opions at all would be greatly appreciated
