APS blow off valve!!!

Hey, everyone just wondering if the APS blow off valve makes you run rich? I have an evo 9 and read that this was the best blow off valve for the evo aside from my stock one. Also is this a complete bolt on on stock piping and an ingen intake upgrade? Thanks, plz no flaming! haha

its not the best blow off valve, unless you like the sound... the jdm mr is the best one.... as it is oem.... you should just leave your diverter valve alone it is really good holds boost very well.... unless you want the sound then the aps will be good... and yes it will bolt on no problem just like stock... as for running rich.. i dont believe so sense it is a dual vent.. which it vents some to the air, and then some to the intake....

Warrtalon will say it does between shifts. I don't know. I haven't had any noticable problems with mine. It sure is a lot better than my MR diverter valve. I hated that thing.

Car stalled all the time. Sold it to a friend and installed the APS and have had no problems. Works fine on my buddies evo though. It just leaks a little after 25psi. He's gonna soon upgrade to the Forge.

No, you won't run rich unless you mean between shifts whenever it vents to atmosphere. If you have it set to vent at all, then however much it vents is how much you will run rich between shifts. Most people will never notice, because you're only doing a percentage of the air, not all of it.

It would be an absolute shame and a mistake to purchase that BOV when your stocker is so good. It would also be a mistake to install an Injen Intake if you don't have other mods. The two worst mods to do first on a IX are a BOV and intake...

Schere, I can't see how a stock BOV (JDM MR and USDM IXs) would make your car stall - that would indicate improper installation or some other problem in your system. Yes, it leaks above 25psi, but most people don't run 25psi or more like us.

I don't either. I didn't have any problems with stalling on my stock valve. As soon as I installed the MR valve I had stalling issues. I guess my car just didn't like it.

Don't have a good answer for you. I guess an impulse buy. I'll prolly stick with my APS until it doesn't do the job for me then switch to Forge.
