evo suspension making weird sounds
hey guys,
Lately my IX has been making some weird clunking noise and it is coming from my front suspensions. The dealership told me that my front strut bearings are bad and they will replace them under warranty but I just want to know if anyone else is experiencing this problem. Again, the car drives normal until I drive over bumps or man holes in the road then I heard clunk. Just wondering if anyone has similiar problems. I just hope that it's just the strut bearing and nothing else. thanks guys.

wow...so it seems like i'm not alone with this clunk sound. the dealership did not hear the sound when they took it for a drive but when i took it for a drive with them, i replicated the sound that i told them about and they say that it was the strut bearings and that i will get if fixed on wednesday.

when i go over speed bumps and stuff, mine sorta makes a "crunching" noise... I had the same noise on my Evo8 when I first got it but it eventually went away so i am not yet too worried about this noise.
the dealership did however foget to remove the bracers from my suspension I had to do that myself. I guess thats what a 10 year / 100,000 mile warratny is for
