Unhappy Another trip to the 1/4 track

Well it was sport compact night here at MOKAN in MO, and the result was basically the same as the last time. There was some good that came out of the evening though.

93 octane/1/2 tank
ran out of IC spray so only first 2 runs had it
55 dgrees

1st run eagle talon (freak of nature, and running home made parts, or somthing like that) I tree and launch like crap,
Evo- 13.9
Talon 10.99 (like I said freak of nature)
the talon won the forced 4 (which was by far the toughest class, other than all comp) He knocked me out of the comp early in the day.

2nd run CRX
evo- 13.8
crx- 17.7
this race was weak, enough said

3rd run Newer type-R integra(w/ NOS and many others)
Evo - 13.8
Type-r - 15.1
Type-r ran a 13.2 earlier that night, but when he raced me his nos can ran out and was running on just motor. I raced this guy last time I was there, he did not have slicks that time, this time he did. At the presant time I own him, but I am sure we will battle again

4th run 98 supura turbo(nice car, very nice 20,000 miles)
we race once and my tree brakes down and I do not get to go, so I made sure we raced again.
Evo- 13.6
supra- 13.5
I won by virtue of the tree, but it was great race vs. a great opponent. He had exhaust, intake, and maybe some other stuff, He did not specify anything else. I think this proves that our car can really hang with some big time cars. I blasted him off the line(which I seem to do to most cars) and gained an instant car and a half length, he then played catch up the whole race, I beat him by about a 1/2 to maybe a full length. It was a great race, the guy PR'd against me. He crossed at 106 and me at 100.

final run type -r integra/different one(stickers out the ying yang of parts, I would guess A lot of mods)
evo- 13.8
type-r 14.6
So far I have come to believe that type-r's have bad luck against me and I own their souls. I have beaten 3 now at the tracks, even when there car is faster I still beat them ohwell.

What I have gathered is that I can run consistant times with this car. I have ran 2-13.6,4- 13.7, 4 - 13.8, 2- 13.9 , and a couple blown runs myfirst trip in the car. All with about 2.0 60ft times (yeah I suck) Just by chance I should have got a 1.7, but no, my fastest ever was a 1.9. I don't think I can do any better, and I really do not know why. a 13.6 with a 2.0 60ft is not bad

I will end this long story with this, I saw 4 350z's run today 14.3-14.8 was the best any of them could do. I was not impressed at all. It needs a turbo or somthing, but I would expect more out of that car. I will post the next import night and maybe some people who are close can come race me. well I have more to say, but this post is already way too long so I will end it right NOW!

350z=not fast. I've seen some 13.9 claims, but it takes some work to get it that low. As for your runs, with weather in the 60s (?) I would think 13.6 should have been a consistant time. I think that may require 1.88 sec max sixty-foots.

The Z might not be fast on the drag strip as it's not a drag car, but it can do some major damage on the road course. I was in a BMW driving class the other day and there was a stock Z there tearing up the course.

As far as video, I did tape them all but I dod not know how to put it on my computer. The supra race is great, on tape I jump out maybe 3 car lengths through 2nd gear.

My trap speeds were 97-100, my best ever is a 100.5. I can't seem to do much better.

As for my 60ft, my only goal for the night I wanted a 1.8 or less, but my lowest was a 1.95 and averaged over 2.0. I am well aware that I need a 1.8, but I can't seem to do it. In my hands the evo is a 13.6-13.7 car, in someone elses the evo could be a 13.2-13.3 consistant. I guess I just suck, I am reving in between 5000-5500 and feathering it out just enough to catch then I am dumping. It is working good but not good enough ANY SUGGESTIONS. I did not bog or miss a gear on any runs though

As for the Z topic, I like the Z I merely stated that I was disapointed in the straitline and that IMO it needs a turbo or somthing. In my area the 1/4 mile is the only measurment tool I have. Even the modded Z could not break 14, anywho
