why does our lights up front have this outline of the light when you turn it on
can you ajust that, because it gets on my nerves, and you know even when you manually ajust it with that switch, it still doesn't go away....I need some suggestions

Hope that helps...

Has some good info and things to think about.

Found this place that seems to have bulbs that would match the fog light color temp closer to the HID's.
Let us know what you do. I'm interested in your outcome.
edit: BTW, Most photographers prefer a wider color temp range (sunlight being the best) to bring out all details in what they shoot. Keep that in mind... So it may look a bit off but orange to blue color temps may actually help you see better at night.... Just a thought.

HIDs in your fog light housing will blind everyone on the road. Thats why HID "kits" for halogen housings are no good. The housing needs to be DOT approved for HID.......meaning the housing allows the light output to emit in a certain way that it doesnt blind people. THe projectors have the plate so you dont blind everyone on the road. My advice, dont touch the protective plate.
If you want an accurate HID output for your fog lamps you should buy evo 7 headlights because they have projectors for fog lamps instead of reflector type. Then get an H11 rebased bulb kit with d2s bulbs (d2r is for reflective housings like lexus, acura). Even halogen projectors have the little plate to correct the beam pattern. An HID fog lamp conversion for evo 7 housings would probably work perfectly and give you a perfect beam pattern. Prepare to spend about 800 - 1000 bucks though.
