i have an autometer phantom boost gauge and today i was noticing a very low noise coming from somewhere. it seem like it was comin around my boost gauge area so i gave it a tap and it went away. everytime the noise came back and i tap the boost gauge it would go away. does anyone know why it's making this noise all of a sudden? its a very low ticking type of noise

 

My autometer boost gauge would make a rattling sort of noise and also wasn't reading vacuum right.. I sent it back to Autometer and they replaced it for FREE!

 

it's probrably leaking slightly. if it's mechanical sometimes the little brass fitting can cut through the nylon line partially if it's tightened too much and cause a leak, i'd check that first.
