boy the hypocritical nature of this post is retarted... lets face it we all bought a pretty quick car, and if you proceed to tell every one you do the speed limit wherever you go; who are you kidding? and if you do, you bought the wrong car.. people need to relax. diabled children finding their way onto the road...are you serious? i'll keep that in mind the next time i'm driving "the speed limit" on the interstate..

cool story - sorry i got off topic

For everyone out there just please try to drive with safety in mind, we don't need more stories of wrecked Evo's or dead families.

And regardless of what you do or don't do and the consequences or lack thereof, don't try and play up speeding as "no biggee" because if something ever happens it will be a biggee.

Nuff said.

And you are giving him a hard time for speeding, after admitting that you do it yourself? Now that is funny. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black!

Like driving over the speedlimit on a highway is any less illegal or less dangerous than speeding on ANY other road, regardless of it's posted limit! huhu!

Any for anyone else who is scolding this guy for speeding, keep your pointless criticisms to yourself. You know you speed too, or have gone over the speedlimit at some time in your life. If you say you don't, you are not telling the truth.

Just because you have only one or no tickets, doesn't mean you are any better or more mature than anyone else.....it just means that you are lucky, or the police in your area don't invest much manpower in patrolling speeds.

Listen people... EVERYONE drives like an *** at one point or another... And if your purchased an EVO or any other type of sports car, there's gonna be a time that you "get on it"... I can understand that.. That's why I use discretion in my judgement for citing someone... There's a time and place for it, be smart and safe... I personally know of a 30mph roadway, that should actually be listed as at least a 50.. But let's say your doing 65, and weaving through traffic... Boom, ticket... Also depends on your attitude and or the attitude of the officer... Some guys take traffic infractions personally, and that's why you run into those "a--hole cops" per se.... My .02

Whatever You said is pointless.Seems like for You,someone who thinks logically provides a ugly contrast to the real world. When I say that I speed it up,does NOT exactly mean I went over the speed limit or maybe 5 over(it's like going from 20 to 65,got it).Who said that highway is a safer place to drive. If You r looking for a solution how to solve You own driving habit's,please keep Your judgments for Yourself and make sure next time nobody is around.Seems like we r getting more street racing fans(Yes,yes, including You) who have exactly the same ideas how to handle criticisim from people who rather take their car on a track and keep it safer. You can do with Your car whatever You want,I don't care, but please save me those comments .Why?Because experience is a wonderful thing. It enables you to recognize a mistake when you make it again(nothing personal).

Hey,JaReDbOy,regardless of what You said in Your second post, when somebody says"and finally got pulled over..." makes me sick. All Evo owners dont really need extra attention from cops and believe me,that if You want give him a "little" boost ,do it on open road with 55 speed limit and You can do it after midnite as well
Practice what you preach.

A "little boost" in the Evo on a 55 mph zone would probably put you up to at least 85 mph... So you would still be going 30 mph over the posted speed limit.

Everyone's gonna speed at some point, otherwise they wouldn't have bought the Evo. Just gotta use good judgement. And... I don't believe that any "disabled" kids would be out playing after 12:00am. If they were, then I'd hafta say that their parents must be "disabled." :P

You obviously didn't comprehend what I wrote above. I think you need a better English to Italian web translator. :P

I am not a street racing fan. You will never hear me indulging in stories about who or what I beat on the street. Why? Because I do ALL my racing at the track. But when I am on surface streets and highways, yes, I tend to drive a lil bit over the limit.....which is why I don't criticise others for speeding.

Hey Max Rebo ,read all my posts, not just part of it.I said I give my Evo a boost ,but I do it on a track plus fyi from 0-60 You may call it "lil' boost "as well.It is not about speed ,but RPM's,so relax, because this is not a 1/4 mile.

Speed does not cause accidents.
Poor judgement causes accidents.
