After 3 months now i get a misfire code

I have had all my stage 5 Buschur Racing kit for almost 3 months now, never had a problem until the past few weeks. after 2 months of no SES light all of a sudden it comes on with a misfire code. So i change the plugs, reset the light and drive it... it came back on like 3 days later. So i regap my plugs, reset the light... 2 days later it came back on. So i got new plugs from Buschur Racing gapped them to .27 (factory), reset the light.... light comes on after 6 hours. So i put new plugs in again (just to make sure they werent bad) gap the plugs to .24, reset the light... light comes on in 3 minutes. ALWAYS A MISFIRE CODE!
I have tried .27, .24, .22, light comes on after 5 to 100 minutes after i drive the car. Doesnt come on at idle, i have to be moving... I use the spark plugs that Buschur Racing suggests which are the 7's not the 8's (if you know what i mean)

Why all of a sudden would this be happening?
Could it be my wires? I have 22,500 miles on the car.
Any suggestions?

Prolly the P0300.... All i can say is it prolly comes on under low throttle, engine warmed up, and not under boost. Am i correct?

Change out your wires. It's about time anyway and it's a cheap maintenance item. Also you can pick up some new coil boots here on the cheap. People go through the trouble of changing out the wires but those coil boots have contacts in that can wear out too.

coils going out at 22k miles? that seems way too quickly. I would try changing spark plugs and make sure they are gapped properly, it's a cheap route and I believe mitsu reccomends it every 30k for harsh driving conditions.

No, no. I said the coil boots. The boots that attach the plug to the coil. And I think spark plugs have pretty much been ruled out if you read his post.

I had this same code. I spoke to a mitsu tech and he told me not to worry evo's get these and it will go away. It's just the plugs and will clear out after short period of time. Mine left after 4 days. I guess he was right.

Dude, don't feel to bad. Mine has been going on and off for the last year. I had it come back for nearly 4 months straight. Then all of a sudden it's cool, haven't had it since July. Haven't changed a thing.

If you're using BPR7ES's try BR7ES's in addition to what was mentioned above

what does the clutch have to do with this code?

just curious as i changed my clutch about a month ago now and also I have recently had, cams, intake, fmic w/ pipes, and ss02 housing installed about 2 weeks ago and my car just through a light last night. i just rented the scanner from Autozone and sure enough it was the P0300 code. 21000 miles on my car right now. clutch has been in for about 2000 miles, mods have been in for about 1000 miles. and my car just throws a code now... boo!! haha!

I had the P0300 for about a month, had reflash it and then a few weeks later installed my Exedy HD. Had the same code for about two months after that then all of a sudden it just dissapeard. I'm sure it'll be back again....only a matter of time.
