Prob with turbo surge

I have an 2003 evo8 and I recently replaced my stock licp, uicp, and intake with Injen and threw in a halman MBC pro. I used to have my BOV (turbosmart dual port) connected to my stock piping, but since i've installed my new ICP and MBC, the BOV flutters where before it had the norm "swoosh" sound.

to the bigger problem. Now, when I am under boost and let off the throttle a little, or even WOT and the turbo reaches max boost, the turbo surges pretty bad. I am boosting to 21psi with the MBC. I've included a simple quick pic of how i have the system set up.

Any ideas on the prob?

That line going to your turbo should be going to the wastegate.

Nevermind...you just changed the pic.

thats funny, the first time i looksed at the pic, i saw a sweet turbo charger... now i only see a box.. what happened to it?

Anyways, i did the same mistake when i installed my MBC, had the lines hooked up backwards for the first 30 minutes then after it felt totally like it was going to blow (not to mention it blew the upper innercooler pipe right off) i knew something was wrong. And Wha-La happy boosting...

Yeah it looks like your plumbing is a little messed up. Turbo outlet should go in to the MBC, then to the Waste gate actuator. That system is closed. Everything else should be fine.

I have the hallman pro rx, and my turbo fitting is capped. I have vacuum from the line going to the BOV, and it's running perfect. It sounds like your bov needs adjustment to the softer side.

Put the stock BOV back on and your flutter problem will be solved. I'm not sure what you mean about how you get surge when you're off throttle. Surge happens on throttle, flutter happens off throttle. You aren't running VTA are you? If so, change to full recirc.
