Disabling the Clutch Safety Switch?

Is there a write up on how to disable the clutch safety switch. Or a picture or something, i know with DSM's you just remove the green wire. What do you do on an evo to disable it?

You don't need a write-up. It's the white connector right near the bottom of the clutch. A monkey could do it blind-folded with a banana in one hand. I disconnected mine right away.

The clutch safety switch makes it so you have to push in the clutch to start the car. Disabling the switch allows you to turn on the car without pushing in the clutch as you would normally do. Just make sure your car is not in gear when you start it obviously.

The 2-step is controlled by a different switch, and it will not work if it's unplugged.

so the white connector is only associated with the clutch safety switch?

Also i have an 05 and i have no launch limiter. and that connector is plugged in? Is it possible to change the launch limiter with ECU Flash?

No, there are 3 white connectors. Have you not searched this and read all the explanations we've given on this topic many times over? The bottom switch is for the clutch safety, the middle one is for cruise control (inactive), and the top one is for launch control.

If you have an 05, then you DO have the launch limiter. It's just automatic - every 05 came with it. You either don't know how to activate it, or you bought the car used and didn't know it already had a tune that removed the limiter or raised it. Yes, of course it can be changed with EcuFlash. Have you not also read the EcuFlash forum to see the answer to this question nor the fact that it's an EXTREMELY easy thing to do? Come on, now...do some homework...

ya my bad i found the answer to all those questions already, but thanks anyways. The only weird thing i noticed that bottom 1 set for the clutch safety switch, the actual plastic rod or whatever you want to call it dosent get pushed in by the clutch pedal? why is it there then?
