Rim advice... *PIC*

The reason I ask, is I pretty much need new tires for my car and all the ones I was looking at are gonna cost me around 600 bucks. A buddy I work with has a set of those Enkei RS6's with pretty much brand new Fuzion ZRi 235/40/18's on them. He told me he'd sell them to me for 600 bucks and allow me to pay two payments of 300 bucks. I just thought it would be better to get a set of 18 inch rims and new tires (2000 miles on them, they were off a camry) instead of just new tires.

He is bringing me one tonight so I can put it on and take a pic and then post them up on the board for everyone to see. The rims really look like the stock ones quite a bit, so I dont think they will look ALL that different.

Not those wheels... Stockers are better. Also if they're off a Camry then the offset might not be correct. Also the ZRi's arent the best tires. I had them on the car when i bought it and they were pretty good for the price, but I just had some Kumho ASX's put on yesterday and they handle and feel better than the ZRi's. They'll also last you for around 30k depending on your driving style.

Well I have Dunlop SP Sports on there now, real soft tires, but great grip. They havent lasted me that long really. They'll still be good for awhile, but I've lost most of the tread on the inside of the tires.

My idea was to use the ZRi's for everyday driving, and when I go to the mountain on a run or to the track, throw the stockers and the dunlops back on.

Of course, that all depends on how the rims look on the car.

^+1 i doubt they will be wide enough in general and near the spokes to clear the calipers

Have fun chipping your brake calipers when putting those things on!
