Im about to buy a used 2006 IX MR. Car is in excellent condition with only 3k miles. Im getting an un believable deal on this car.

My question is. The car has blue/black recaro seats in it. The seller told me that the early IX MR's came with these in them, I searched around the forum but couldnt find any info on this. Is it true the first IX MR's had these blue/black recaros? Thanx

no, all IXs had black seats, 03-05 had blue

 

It should have black seats not black and blue. All evo 9's come with black seats with the exception of the gsr ssl (black leather).

smells kinda fishy if you ask me. If he really did sell his original seats for money then why didn't he just tell you? Hes either lying about the car or the seats.

 

Flood damage? Bad smell? Terrible accident? Why else would you change the interior?

 

Well the car actually has some aftermarket leather racing bucket seats in it. But the seats he said were stock, that he is going to include, are the blue/black recaros.

 

So the car has been raced and has no warranty then?

 

No, i mean "race style" or "bucket seats" they look very similar to the stock recaros but have higher sides by the legs to hold u better.
Anyways im not really a fan of leather seats, so ill prolly sell them the day i get the car.
The car just sat in the garage for a year, it has 3k miles, he's pretty well off, lots of high end cars. He dropped about $5-6k into the evo (Avic-N3, JL amp, defi heads up display, w/ oil pressure, fuel pressure, water temp, oil temp, volt, exhaust gas temp, ect. A-pillar Boost and A/F guages. Clifford alam, remote start, turbo timer, ect. All this for $29k, not bad huh? and the wonderful 10year/100k warrenty.

 

"incredible deal" + "only 3k miles" + wrong seats = rebuilt title, theft recovery, flood damage

do you really think this guy is giving you something for nothing?
