thoughts on bodywork

Hey everyone
in the past I've had some terrible experience with body shops
carstar royally screwed up my mom's explorer. they tried to pass off nailpolish on paint cracked all the way down to the metal.
however,
my buddy just got a dent and a scratch taken out of the door on a brand new car and it looks great. you can't even tell anything ever happened
what are your thoughts on body work and body shops?

you have to scope the place out and see how their customers cars come out. Don't rush them to get your car back. Tell them you will not pick up the car if it isnt repaired to your satisfaction. Trust me that if you be firm with them they'll take a few extra steps instead of cutting corners to get you outta there.

Not necessarily EVO related, but they are nicer cars, so I was wondering if anyone else is as leary of bodywork as I am
