dont really know all the technical data about synthetic oils but seems like m1 is switching to Group III from Group IV which is supposedly bad. m1 changes the formula for the oil, less quality and performance, same price.

This is more of the endless discussion of what the oil is made from. I don't care if they make it from horse manure. All that matters to me is what is in the bottle. M1 continues to work fine for me.

 

Mitsubishi say use it so i do,end of story.

 

same here man , its worked for millions and its been in the Vets out the factory for some time now so I would say its ok...

I went into Pep Boys the other day and got shell shocked. I usually pay like $32.00 for six quarts of mobile 1 10w 40. The total came out to like $41.00, I told the cashier this could not be right. She told me prices went up. What a rude awakening!

 

there is some question as to what group 3 base mobil one can and does use. there is a legal chance it could be called synthetic and not be, or it could be synthetic.
