^ A BOV is helpful if you have a huge aftermarket turbo and a lot of boost. Stock turbo and practically nothing else but basic bolt-ons, not really, that would just be rice. PSHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Its kinda trivial but my central locking button went out, they replaced it under warranty no questions asked lol

im keeping my ride bone stock(2006 9 mr- 6800miles) till i graduate and get a second car. Then let the modding begin.

they'll probably find out because you announced it here. Then they'll check your ecu to make sure.

Does anyone know if the warranty covers the paint chipping on the brake calipers?

I know some have had it covered and other have not. I plan to find out in another week or so. I am going in for my 75K mile service and I am going to ask them about the calipers since mine are peeling. I have the 10yr/100K mile warranty so we'll see what they say. I'll post here with whatever they tell me.

You'd be suprised. I've heard of several people on here say they had the warranties rejected and that Mitsubishi had checked on message boards to find out about mods and if there was any evidence of abuse. i.e. racing.

Peeling Brembos & Faded Wing

I have a question for you guys. I have an 05 Evo that I brought brand new and now the clear coat on the brakes are chipping off and the rear wing is oxidized. The weird thing about the rear wing is that, the clear coat is fine, but its showing oxidation underneath the clear coat.

My question is that, can they reject my warranty because I have the Tomei Elbow & downpipe, plus the HKS exhaust?

To my understanding, I thought that they can only reject it if the modification is directly related to the parts that's being warrantied. This is Lemon's Law correct?

Well the service manager called me today and said that I need to bring my car in so that they can take pictures of it, plus lift the car up to see if it's been modified or not. So I wanted to know what's your taking on this.

I had all four of my Brembos and my stock VIII spoiler replaced free of charge and I had a lot more mods than you. Depends on the area Mitsu rep and if your dealer pulls for you or not. My dealer took great care of me.

Well mine initially rejected me. He stated that Mitsu no longer warranty the brakes or the wing. I just had to verify it for myself so I called corporate. Corporate then contacted them and now they're telling me to take in so that they can put it on a lift to see if it's been modified or not.

if they are seriously gonna void your warranty over exhaust id call bull**** on that, considering the wing has nothing to do with drivetrain but the body warranty, and an exhaust mod wont cause paint flake on brakes lol, corp mitsu is a bunch of douche bags

it's true, but we're talking about Mitsubishi's warranty here. I think we all know about their reputation.
