What is the latest opinion on the best stock turbo combo?
Evo 8 with 10.5 hotside
Evo 8 with 10.5 hotside and an ebay O2 housing
Evo 8 with the light weight shaft.. euro model??

I want to make near 400 whp..
I have an AEM, 264 cams, 255, FMIC, and piping, bov, mbc etc

The first two are the same thing, since the o2 housing isn't part of the turbo and of course should be added as a mod to reach 400whp. Plus, those first two choices are just the stock 05 turbo, which is not the best stock turbo obviously. 3rd choice makes no sense. 4th choice...yeah, of course the most evolved version of the stock turbo is the best, which is the IX, but they have even improved upon the IX to make the 20g-9 and 20g-9LT.
You have the mods for nearly 400whp as long as you add alky injection and run big boost regardless of which stock turbo you have.

to be honest, I bought an 05 evo with a turbotrix 50 trim kit. but it seems a spark plug electrode broke off and toop out the exhaust wheel of the turbo.
I was considering putting a stock turbo back on the car because i think with the AEm and a good stock turbo combo i can reach the 350-380 maybe even 400 that will plenty satify me.
I get to race a good friends 2.3L gt35 car that i regularly run high 10"s at 135 in on all season tires...
That thign is a beast and i want to drive mine more on the street.
I think 350-400 is perfect.
i actually owned this car before it had the 50 trim kit. it made 334 whp with just an safc 2 on 93 octane.
That was good enough to run 12.0's at 115 ...
so i was just thinking if i went back to stock turbo and had a great tune using the aem i might could add 20-40 hp.
or shoudl i just find a cheap 50trim and put it back together.. run 23 psi and make an easy 400?
