All HKS Valves flutter.. ITs the nature of the design, at low throttle when only the primary valve is open, theres a transition point where the secondary valve bounces open and closed..

This is partly why it doesnt work well with the stock MAF, when it flutters the pulses when recirculated can cause airflow anomolies..

EDIT, I thought he meant HKS SSQV.. However an aftermarket intake lets you hear all that stuff, and its perfectly normal to hear it..

lmao thats your intake not your bov

your intake is whats making the fluttering.

Thats not true.. but the aftermarket Intake will allow you to hear fluttering of any DV/BOV more clearly..

you mean it isnt completly true, because i hardly doubt he woudl hear the "flutter" he is talking about with out the intake.

as soon as i installed just my filter, at low rpm i could here it flutter and it was throu the intake that i heard it?

sometimes i heard both the bov and the flutter

Why did you change from your stock bipass valve?

Nope, all valves flutter under some conditions even the stock one, only you can hear it now with an aftermarket intake.. Don't worry about it..

What your hearing is the valve.. The fact that you can hear it is simply because the stock Intake and airbox was designed to absorb noises that the aftermarket setup lets you hear.. So you can hear the WHOOSH of the DV, the Whine/whistle of the turbo, and the flutter, farts and burps of the DV's..

All valves flutter.. Its only a problem if the tension on the valve is so high that the car bucks and the turbo surges.. All thats happening is that there is enough pressure in the upper intercooler pipe to blow the valve open slightly and not enough vacuum to draw the valve open.. so you get a fluttering sound.
