wrecked x 2
I have a recently repaired 05 and a recently wrecked 06(totaled) sitting in the driveway and I think that I want to do a full build-up if I can find a chassis. I have the 05 back in action thanks to the 06, but now when I corner right, I am experiencing severe under steer on entry to severe over steer through and off the corner. The crossmember, control arm, tie rod, and strut have all been replaced, and the wheel seems to be set back in the wheel well about a third to half of an inch. Most of the damage occurred on the left wheel in which the control arm was separated from the crossmember. Can this be repaired and how, where can I find a chassis, and should I just sell both and buy a new 06? Having two is kind of nice, though. Thanks.

I was going to swap the engine/tranny from the 06 rs in to my 05, until I drove the repaired 05. I would like to keep the 05 as a DD to trade in for a X and buy a chassis for the 06 and use it as a racer if the price is right. If not, I will have a full part out of an 06 RS.

Johnny Jackass the Cabby saw the car in the right lane ahead of me with a turn signal on and decided to pull out into my lane instead of the signalers lane and I tried to thread the needle and missed. He said he did not see me. The 06 rs was purchased from MarkN1689 a month ago in it's current condition. Although, the car does look to have my signature on it.
you might have a bent strut. Try swapping them out with the other one from the front if they are ok. you can also check for a wear spot on the stainless part of the strut. That is how mine was. Made a big difference with a new one. Also it is possible that the engine cradle is bent too. Both of those parts are surprisingly weak although looking at them you would think there is no way that could bend.
