Fog Lights
there has been a few threads, but no one has shown a working example.....dont worry about everyone telling you to search about this topic. there has been a way for the 05 and stuff, but i have not yet seen a working example for the IX
well i could get a working design tomorrow since it's 1am here in PA....i have it set up quite nicely but it can be a pain in the butt to get to....it's basically just tapping the driver side + fog light into your parking light power wire(+)....i'll see what i can gather up tomorrow with some pics

I did a search and found multiple threads with people wondering how this is done but not one with someone really sure on how this is done just a bunch of sketchy ideas.

actually it's not illegal...if it was, then why would car manufactuers put an option of just being able to turn on the parking & fog lights and not the headlights? IT IS ILLEGAL to run with more than 4 lights on at once (low beam, hi beam, AND fogs). That is why the fogs shut off when you hit your hi-beams. But the set up I have makes it easy to just unplug a connector when you have to get an inspection (if the garage even notices the difference). I will be doing a how-to on this after I get all the info needed.
It's actually highly beneficial in extreme fog to turn off all lights except the fog lights.
Foglights are best when they are low and have a very sharp cutoff.
The idea is that they shone across the top of teh road, but don't shine up into the air which would cause the water molecules to reflect the light thus making the fog a total solid wall of reflected light.
I don't have the fogs in the headlights.
But I'd love to find someway of mounting fogs elsewhere on the front.
I wish someone made a bumper kit that had space for them. Need to find a small setof projector fogs and see if they could be squeezed in somewhere.
