anyone with knowledge about evo 1,2 and 3s please help

I just bought an evo2 a couple of weeks ago and now the clutch slave cylinder is on its way out, I need to know where i can find a new one or if there is one from another car that can match. Any help is appreciated.

Would the slave from a 2g DSM fit on it?

I know the engines are very very similar.

i think evo's 1-2-3 would be closer to a 1g DSM and 4-5-6 closer to a 2g DSM.. and and its cool to see other people from the islands on here.. im from St. Lucia

Well I'm pretty sure they're all 7-bolt. So maybe 92+'s?

Well I am supposed to pick up an broken slave cylinder from a friend with an evo 1. He got lucky when his went out, there was a totalled evo up the road from him. I can try post a pic or a serial number soon.

i think the major diffrence is the 1st gen have the tranny on the passenger side while the 2nd gen have it switch. but the brake parts should be the same. ATL in kingston jamaica have the actuall evo parts. david sumerbell jr has a fully built evo 3 and 5 that he rallies in the carribean and in europe now. but i think it would be easier to source one from like miami since u in bahamas.

If you're talking about DSM's, then nope, the transmission is on the passenger side for both. I think the 1-3 Evos are like the dsm, while the 4+ are the newer layout.

stand corrected. yeah i know the 4 up have it diffrent. thats why u can swap the parts of the 1-3 directly into a gst or gsx. the 4-6 are diffrent.

Well I KNOW you can use the engine, tranny IDK about, but the rest of the drivetrain is probably different (rear end, etc..)
