Installed Vishnu Stage 0

Just went to Vishnu today , and had the stage 0 mods installed. The car pulls hard all the way to redline, and the exhaust note is a bit louder than stock, but still sounds great. An increase in power is evident down low, but the huge gain is once you get past 4500.
The customer care at Vishnu was also great, as Brett, Ken and Shiv took good care of me and the car.

My car is now putting down 215 HP to the ground (red line) which is approx. what the EVO VII from japan puts down on their dyno. The black line is of someone else's stock EVO and it was putting down about 180, Shiv said mine put down about 185 stock.

I have never been more satisfied with aftermarket parts, and recommend getting your parts from Vishnu. PM me if you want any more details of my experience with them.

more cars......

BTW, they had some other cars there today, another EVO and the cars you see below.......The Diablo made 332 wheel horsepower, the 360 Modena made 297 wheel horsepower, the Cobra made 359 wheel horsepower.......They also had an STi come in to dyno today, but I'm not sure if i can divulge that information, you will have to find out from Vishnu.

my 10psi supercharged Civic put down 215whp, but my EVO feels SOOOOO much faster... but it seems that everyone is seeing only 180-195 on the dyno stock...?

At the Dyno Day in Maryland a week ago, most stock Evos were measuring in the 220s on a Dynojet AWD dyno. Mine personally measured at 226.5 @ 6250 rpm.

If SouthernCrane is seeing 215 after Stage 0 mods (185 stock), there would seem to be two possible explanations -- discrepancy between dynos, or discrepancy of fuel. (Weather could make a difference as well, but not a 40 hp difference.)

Vishnu Tuning has a Dyno Dynamics dyno, which may give different readings than a Dynojet. It is my understanding that different designs of dynamometer may give readings which differ by as much as 10% or more.

And most "premium" fuel sold in California is only 91 octane, compared to the 93 octane which is commonplace here in the DC area.

it must be the dyno shiv is using... cause your numbers make more sense to me... as my Si was done on a Dynojet at EIP tuning about a year or so ago...

where were you getting your dyno runs in... i'd like to get a baseline before i do any modding...

AWD Dynojets read, almost exactly, 17% higher than our AWD Dyno Dynamics Dyno.

So, expect Stage Zero EVOs to put down around 252 wheel hp (215 x 1.17) on an AWD Dynojet running on 91 octane. Or a bit more if running on 93 octane.

Cheers,
Shiv

Hi gtr, I broke my car in like it said in the manual. During that time, i did give it boost, but didn't go over 5k.

On a side note: My car may have made more power if i had better gas, i don't mean a higher octane, i mean better gas. Vishnu gave me a useful tip: USE 76 gas ONLY, your car will most likely like it a lot better

My stock EVO, 93 octane on Dynojet : 235 HP/246 TQ = 195 HP/204 TQ on Vishnu's dyno

My Stage Zero + 3" DP and Hi-flo cat (Stage 1/2?), 93 octane on
Dynojet: 272.4 HP/263.9 TQ = 226 HP/219 TQ on Vishnu's dyno.
