Brake light on cluster remains on
The brake light on instrument cluster stays on while I am driving. This has been going on for a week now. At first, it would come on and off while I was driving. Now it just stays lit and isnt turning off.
I checked my parking brake. It seems fine. It's all the way down when I release it so I can drive off. So what is wrong!?!?

it means your brake pads are worn out to the point where they need to be changed. When your pads wear down to a certain point the brake fluid goes down in the reservior as well since its a closed system. The lower fluid triggers the brake light to come on telling you its time to change your brakes...
My advice is to check your pads...your fluid should not be topped off til you check your pads cuz if you end up filling the reservoir then change your pads down the road you might end up w/ too much fluid

I just checked the brake fluid reservoir. The fluid level is at the MINIMUM bar level indicator. I couldnt check the pads because it is dark and raining outside still.
My cars only got 21,000 miles. Its never been tracked or pushed to its braking limits ever. I dont know how it got to this point where I need to replace the brake pads.
