OK, well I see you have an '04. If you bought it on or after July 1st then you have the 5yr/60k mile warranty and you will be covered. I am not assuming you dont know this or anything, but just curious when you bought your car. I went in for my wing on March 30th and got a call here last Tuesday saying it was already in!!! I dropped the car of about an hour ago as the new one goes on in the morning. I have an '04 as well.

PS: The TSB I read at the dealer 2 weeks ago didnt say anything about any warranty actually. It just said if anybody comes in complaining about the wing clearcoat to make a visual inspection and then order a new wing. I have done a lot of reading on this issue over the last year and this latest TSB seemed to me Mitsu finally gave in and is replacing wings basically if you just ask them to. I have a pretty recent thread on this if you want to search for it.

I'm assuming my warranty has ended after the 36k but am I wrong? I bought the car June of 04, what warranty does that fall under?

Well, $750 is certainly nuts but $350 is okay. I had the wing on my Lotus turn green from sun damage but after it was sanded all the way down to the CF(you have to be very careful) and recoarting with a UV resistant clear, it looked better then the factory could ever do. Very deep finish and smooth as glass. No reason the same wouldn't apply to the Evo and it cost me $300-350 from a local CF guy so your lower price is in line. Just make sure the shop has CF experience AND will us a UV resistant clear so you will not have troulbe again.

Wing

I had my wing replaced 3 times before the last one from Japan was done properly. The last 2 were replaced after the 36k warranty. My calipers were also replaced after the warranty also.

Taking mine in...

to the dealership this week. It's an 05 and the rear wing is starting to show signs of wear. I have 36,200 on the odo and the guy here in Austin said even if they are out of warranty to just bring it in because he has yet to see Mitsubishi deny a claim for this since it's a known issue. He also said they replace the whole wing and pay for it to be color matched at a body shop and all that. Just the center part needs to be replaced and I don't want to be without my baby

When the dealership gave you that price, was that to completely replace the whole wing? $750 sounds like the dealers list price for a new wing.

I just took my wing off today. going to give it to my friend who owns a paint shop to see if he can reclear it. Mine is EXTREMELY bad. I will take pics today and post them. If mine can be fixed, anyones can be fixed.

$750 is a "we just don't want to mess with it" price. Sounds like a number of people have gotten the work done for about $100.
