transfer case, tranny bolt up

is there supposed to be a like small gap between the transfer and tranny cases when you bolt the up??? like less than a quarter inch

No gap. It has to slide right in. My uncle made the mistake of bolting mine up to get it in. BIG MISTAKE.

it is bolted in where the bolt holes are that part of the cases are buttened up to one another its just the parts in between the bolt holes??
