Im having a bad week.... 3 days ago both my drivers side tires blow out on me.... replaced all 4.... 2night im on my way home on I95n and a coon decides to run across the interstate. It lost. But now my lip is falling off... my grill smashed up into my Greddy Intercooler.. the intercooler gets pushed back into the tow hook and now has a bad dent on the bottom/inside of the core and there is a dent the size of a large fist in the fins as well. At this point... the damage is more than my insurance deductable..... i havent called to file my claim yet... my question is.... well my insurance company cover the greddy FMIC. its the "R" core (almost $1000). Just curious
thanks
thanks
Who is your insurance though.? Allstate had me go to the place I was getting the work done on my car. The shop go into the computer look up the parts price, labor and make an work order up. on my motorcycle I had a Custom pipe and Custom fairings and they wrote up the Custom parts then telling me they could send in the price for the Stock (which was more) I didnt do that however since Allstate was so good to me they took the price the dealership gave me cut me a check and let me order my own parts online and payed me for my own labor. I made about 2k on the deal
Dont forget your receipts for the after market parts that will help and try to go to a friendly shop and not a Stealership to do the repairs. The Friendly body shop is going to say HEY LOVE the business and love to over charge the Insurance company and the Dealership is going to have set hours, and OEM prices only which may not be cheaper in your case and are less likely to get you what you want.

Depends on your insurance company. But, typically your insurance will only cover OEM parts that came on the car at purchase. Aftermarket parts are usually not convered unless you've notified your insurance company that you put the part on the car. Good luck with this...hope it works out for you.
I also roll with progressive on the Evo. I dont think they cover aftermarket however if you go to a shop NON Dealership, I think they will work with you. Call them first and see if they will price down Aftermarket or not.

I would definetly check with insurance, and tell them what happened, where , at what time take some pictures. IF they dont cover performance parts, you will get at least money for oem parts lip, and stock fmic. find out how much is for the stock oem lip from the dealer and fmic. See if its worth it.
stock fmic (which they dont know you running greedy one) and lip would run around $1000 i bet.

IN my experience, if you have proof of purchasing something and it was damaged in an accident or whatever, they will pay for it. Even if they don't, the stock parts cost so damn much that you can buy an aftermarket IC for about the same. Request a check mailed to you rather than to the service department. That way you can buy whatever you want. Get a carbon fiber lip as well. Just as much as a new stocker and the paint costs!

J/K hopefully he didnt even feel it coming.
