Well the reserve is probably set at like 30k so that 15k doesnt realy mean ****

Reserve is not met, it is probably around 28K.

Looks like 15K is only the starting bid and $29,900 is the minimum selling price...

So if you bid 15,000 and no one else bids you still have to pay 29,900? I never used ebay before...

You only have to pay if you bid 29,900 or more.

Say it goes to 17,000, no one gets it? Why not just start the bid at 29,900?

because if it ends at 28k or something the seller can choose to sell or keep the item.....that way he is safe
