Service Engine Soon light .. P0406 EGR code
Can anyone enlighten me on why I would be throwing this code? The two times the light came on I was just driving normal, off boost. I didn't want to just start throwing parts at it, should I replace the EGR valve? I did a forum search but didn't come up with any concrete info on this code, only the random misfire code that I haven't gotten yet (knock on wood ).
Thanks,
Frank R.

You sure it's P0406 ???
I have looked forwards and backwards through the '03 manual and can't come up with that number.
It goes from 401 to 403 to 420 ...

BTW - go ahead and check to see if either of the vacuum lines have popped off.
There is a thread on here about that - it helped me out, but I had the p0401 code.

Thanks, I'm pretty sure it was the P0403 code. I didn't actually see it, my friend scanned it for me. I'll check all my vac lines and then I guess move to the EGR valve. Of course my emissions inspection is due in 8 days. Doh!
