Found a very good shop. A place called Cooks Collision Repair, it's a bit further north, but worth it from what I hear.

Remember when the insurance adjuster comes to look at it and says.. Easy fix, some bondo and nice paint match it will be just like new.. MAKE SURE YOU ASK when and where you buy a new car with bondo on it ? and go on to argue that the car didnt come with it and you dont want it now. They attempted to do that to my Audi TT when i twas rocked and i argued till he gave me my new door

Best of luck, sorry to see

Sucks that this happened to your evo. Even though its a hassle waiting for it to get done, you will get it back looking brand new.

I'm not worried a bit... They may not replace the entire panel, but may have to cut it out and weld sand a part back on.

I'm in with a GOOOD body shop that will get what they need out of this insurance company. They will do what it takes to get it looking brand new again, no bump out and bondo.

Besides, these are slices like a razor blade and on creases in the body. much different. I will get the adjuster's initial estimate Monday and will be taking my car in next week to see what the real damage is.

Ok just got initial estimate back, anyone have a guess of what it was, and what it SHOULD be?

I'd guess the adjuster's initial estimate was about $2250 and that it will actually cost about $3500 to get fixed properly.

Wow you're really close... He said $2500 or so and wrote me a check for the amount. Not sure if I cash it now or wait until the body shop looks at it and adds the supplemental damages (which I'm sure there will be). Nice guess!!!!
