obviously you have the hallman hooked up correctly then. one other thing to check on it... the nipples on the hallman, have you taken them off, or do they unthread from the body? if so, make sure the SIDE nipple has a tiny little pin hole on the hex of the nipple. if you look at it closely, you'll see it. this nipple must be on the SIDE of the body, not the bottom. i've seen it before where they were switch and it will cause the MBC to function incorrectly.

 

Problem solved. The ball was stuck against the boost source fitting. Cleaning and re-setting the ball and spring solved the problem.
