Exclamation Which ones is better EVO 6 or 7

I am looking at buying eithera EVO 6 (Std one or possibly a Tommy Mech Version) or an EVO 7.

The car will be driven probably mostly weekends with the odd day during the week. All good bitumen rd driving in Australia.

Now keeping in mind resale values, performance etc.
What is everyones opinion and why?

Rob

I like the Evo7 more then the 6. I think it looks better without all the extra add on bodywork. The AYC and all the other electronics are also pretty cool.

The 6 has AYC as well, just not ACD. It depends on what you want. The Tommi Makinen edition 6 is the closest you can get to the Group A rally car that won the championships in the late 90's. It is far less refined than a 7/8 but is considered to be faster in the hands of a capable driver. If you care about resale, a used TM edition evo is going to be your best bet, the limited numbers and special features of that car seem to be holding up the value of that car better than a Evo 7. If you want a more comfortable daily driver without giving up much performance, get the 7.

Thats right it was the ACD that was the new thing with the Evo7.

If it's you weekend/fun car...I would go for the RS models. The EVO VI RS would be nice.

Who need AYC when you can slide...

The VII performs better across the board on roads from what I understand. Most people prefer the looks of the VI. I'd get the VII.

Still, I'd go for an RS...w/out the AYC but do have the ACD
