im looking on gruppe-s i want to put the 06 headlights on my 03. Gruppe-s sells HID and NON -HID. IS the only difference that one comes without the ballast and the other comes with it. Will the non HID work on my 03 the way it should,i dont know the options for 06 evos if they actually came without hid's or not

 

Im pretty sure that the harness for the HID is different from non-HID. So if you get whatever option that your car came with you'll be fine. MR and SSL packages came with HID in 06

Depends on which on you want as well. Z1auto only carries the Evo VIII MR lights which are flat black. Speedelement has the black chrome that are on the JDM IX.

I do know what you're saying about the HID and non HID. Does it mean that they have different bulb size? I thought that all MRs has HID. Maybe it's like what you said, one come with bulbs and ballast and the other doesn't.

+ 1 on that i ordered the same exact thing from them a EB jdm rear the item took damn near 5 months for it to be shipped out to me. as for your question with the JDM 8 MR headlights one just doesnt have HIDS you can go and buy a set of aftermarket HIDS for cheaper. only thing is they are missing those big rubber grommets that cover the bulb opening.

 

the non-hid housings will not work properly with your 03. the connectors are different (4-pin vs 8-pin on the hid housing) and the non-hid uses 9006 bulbs for the low beam as opposed to D2S.
