Installed Clutch, now SRS light??

Thats the basics of it. I did my clutch, intake tube, motor mounts and exhaust manifold this weekend and when I fired it up the SRS light was on.

I ran if by a dealer this am and she cleared the light for me only for it to come right back on. She pulled the code and it had to do with the driver's side air bag?? To get them to look any farther I needed to make an appointment that I didn;t have time for now. Anyone have any ideas what I might have unhooked or pissed off?

Only under dash work was hooking the steering back up (I dropped the rack) and adjusting the clutch. Is there a plug somewhere I unhooked and forgot to rehook??

Tips? Suggestions? Comments? Jokes? Free Money?

yeah, check the yellow plugs that are on your body of your car, first i would remove the fuse so that if want blow your airbags. make sure all of them are pluged in.

I just noticed you said you hooked your steerinb back up, that'll cause it, you must have unpluged the airbag on the steeringwheel and turned the car on without it hooked back up so that the car though it wasnt pluged in. you might have to bring it to mitsubishi to get them to clear it because the SRS box locks so people cant get away from accidents so easily

Yeah I took it to mitsu this am. Light came back on. The steering I disconnected wasn't the wheel. Just behind the gas peddle you can remove a cover and unbolt the shaft from the rack. Thats all I did with the steering. Sorry for the confusion. So there was no know wiring disconnects. And I don't recal disconnecting any plugs for SRS anywhere?

According to the dealer tool this am it was reading Driver's Side airbag, anyone know what plugs would affect this that I can check tonight?

Just seemed to be a coincidence that it came on first time I started up after the clutch install. I'll give it a once over tonight or tomorrow and see if there is anything obvious without digging deep. If not then I'll make a dealer appointment, though for some reason I thought the 04 warrantee was only 3 years...

I'll have to look.

No clue you would have to find out, because that is for the safety system and that should always be checked every few years.

Well, I was just going over the service manual for the evo and I think I may know what happened....

My daughter thought it was fun to spin the wheel round and round while the shaft was out of it. I bet there is a clock spring issue! I'll have to tear into it tomorrow.
